SEQUIM — Tim Sutton rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Sequim Wolves to their first football win of the season on Friday night.
Sequim defeated Port Townsend 26-19 as Sutton scored on runs of 54, 32 and 30 yards.
Sutton, who rushed 18 times for 234 yards. Two of Sutton’s touchdowns came in the second half for the winning margin. The Redskins led 19-14 at halftime.
The Wolves scored the first two touchdowns for a 14-0 lead as Sutton ran for his 54 TD and Tim Dosey rushed six yards for the other score.
Quarterback Shane Sather had the Redskins first score with a three-yard run.
Port Townsend took the lead with two unanswered scores in the second quarter. Keith Johnson had a seven-yard TD run while Wes Jones had a TD rush of three yards.
