SEQUIM — The City Council appointed teacher John Bridge of Sequim to the Planning Commission on Monday.
Bridge, a 57-year-old fourth-grade teacher at Helen Haller Elementary School in Sequim, previously served on the Planning Commission from 1980 to 1983.
Bridge fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Tom Mort.
Three people applied for the vacant Planning Commission position, but one of the candidates was disqualified because of a residency requirement. City officials did not say who was disqualified.
