SEQUIM — An adult family home has been closed after residents reported being physically and mentally abused.
The Washington Department of Social and Health Services last month suspended and revoked the license of Garden Grove No. 2 at 510 Pine Court, citing the abuse and financial exploitation of residents as the reasons.
The home was licensed to John Packer and Carol Hardwick, according Patricia Hildreth, field manager of DSHS Region 6, which includes the North Olympic Peninsula.
Phone calls to the number listed for the adult family home were answered by a telephone company recording saying the service had been disconnected.
Neither Packer nor Hardwick was listed in any telephone books serving the North Olympic Peninsula.
