SEQUIM — What do you want to see in Sequim’s parks and recreation system?
Residents are invited to drop by a Parks Master Plan Update Visioning Workshop between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 21.
The workshop will be at the Pioneer Memorial Park meeting facility at 387 E. Washington St.
Residents can come by anytime throughout the day to give their input on shaping the future of parks and recreation in the city.
The city is looking for feedback on the condition of the parks system, what recreational needs are currently unmet and what types of programs should be offered.
Feedback from the workshop will help guide future investment, development and maintenance decisions related to the city’s parks and recreation system for the next 20 years, city officials said.
Results from the visioning workshop also will be incorporated into the Sequim 120 process as part of the new comprehensive plan, which will provide policy direction for future city expenditures for parks and recreation.
