SEQUIM — Training for volunteer reading tutors is planned at Greywolf and Helen Haller elementary schools.
Teacher and reading specialist Betsy Smith will hold two training sessions in the library at Helen Haller, 350 W. Fir St.
Part one will be Sept. 20 and part two Sept. 27. Both sessions will be from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Volunteers are asked to attend both sessions.

A reading tutor training session also is scheduled for those interested in becoming volunteer reading tutors at Greywolf Elementary from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 28.
Library session
The session will be in the library at the school at 171 Carlsborg Road in Carlsborg.

Potential volunteers can fill out online applications for the 2016-17 school year at www.sequim volunteers.hrmplus.net.
The online application process requires an email address and provides step-by- step assistance.
A current Washington state driver’s license or state ID card is required for a background check.
