SEQUIM — A portion of West Hendrickson Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays until April 4.
The closures began Tuesday.
The closure affects the section of the road from Kendall Road to Hendrickson Heritage Park.
The closure will allow for the installation of sewer and water line extensions along Hendrickson Road
to serve a new office building and a planned subdivision.
According to a press release, a detour will be in place to direct traffic around the closed roadway.
The road will be open at night and on weekends but the city recommends that motorists, cyclists and pedestrians exercise caution during the construction period.
The Olympic Discovery Trail will not be affected by this closure.
