SEQUIM — Sequim Middle School has a new principal, and six people have been selected as finalists for the position of Greywolf Elementary School principal.
Brian Jones, a middle school principal in the Omak School District in north-central Washington, has accepted a contract and will start July 1.
Interviews with the Greywolf candidates will take place Friday. In all, 26 people applied for the position.
The finalists are:
* Patricia Grenquist, North Kitsap School District.
* Jeff Hilburn, Lynden School District.
* Robert Hodges, Issaquah School District.
* Kathryn Ann Missel, Clarksville Montgomery (Tenn.) School District.
* Nancy Pack, North Kitsap School District.
* Heidi Sue Weisert-Peatow, Monroe School District.
Jones” predecessor at the middle school moved to an administrative slot at Sequim High School. The vacancy at Greywolf Elementary materialized when current principal Dan Estvold announced his retirement.
