The foot-path trestle at Railroad Bridge Park reopened earlier this week after repairs were completed.
A section of the trestle was destroyed last Tuesday when a tree fell on the span.
Repairs on a 15-foot section of the trestle were completed Monday, said Bob Boekelheide, the director of the Dungeness River Audubon Center at the site.
Jamestown S”Klallam tribal members repaired the trestle, Boekelheide said. They removed of the 75-foot-tall cottonwood tree that fell on the trestle.
“The bridge is passable once again for walking and bicycling,” Boekelheide said.
The trestle, built in 1964, leads to the bridge that crosses the Dungeness River at the park.
