PORT ANGELES — A Sequim man has been sentenced to five years plus one day in prison after he pleaded guilty to narcotics distribution, identity theft and bail-jumping charges.
Anthony Campbell, 31, of Sequim was sentenced Monday by Clallam County Superior Court Judge Christopher Melly after Campbell pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance-heroin, identify theft and bail jumping, the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said.
Campbell also is required to serve one year of community supervision by the state Department of Corrections upon release from prison, according to court records.
Campbell was arrested for an outstanding warrant without incident in March 2014 from a home on Lorraine Drive in Sequim as part of an interagency operation in Clallam and Jefferson counties, according to the Olympic Peninsula News Group.
In August 2014, the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team — conducting a sting operation — used an informant to purchase heroin from Campbell, according to the prosecuting attorney’s office.
Campbell failed to appear in court after posting bail, according to the prosecutor’s office, which also said he was seen on video surveillance using another person’s credit card to make purchases at a Walmart.
Campbell has previous convictions for felony harassment, possession of a controlled substance, arson and theft of a firearm, according to Jesse Espinoza, deputy prosecutor.
