PORT ANGELES — A second Sequim resident has been arrested in connection with an alleged armed robbery at a Sequim motel in January.
David Allen Poole, 36, was arrested Thursday for investigation of first-degree robbery, second-degree theft and criminal conspiracy.
Possible charges
The Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will consider filing formal charges Tuesday.
Sequim police allege that Poole and an accomplice robbed a man of drugs and other items at the Sequim West Inn in the early morning hours of Jan. 29.
The alleged accomplice, Shelby A. Schleve of Sequim, surrendered to law enforcement Feb. 2.
Schleve pleaded not guilty Feb. 5 to first-degree robbery and second-degree theft. She is now considering a plea offer.
Accusation
Poole is accused of pointing a gun at the alleged victim’s face before robbing him of about $2,000 in property, court papers said.
The alleged victim told police he was robbed of heroin, methamphetamine, three pairs of Nike Jordan shoes, a Jordan hat, two sweatshirts, a letterman’s jacket, jeans, a gold chain necklace, a backpack, cologne, needles, coins and a wallet with food stamps and $120 in cash, according to the certification for probable cause.
An informant tipped police that Poole might have been connected to the robbery Feb. 16, court papers said.
Sequim police used cellphone signals to refute Poole’s claim that he had been at the Sequim Bay Lodge during the commission of the alleged crimes, Officer Devin McBride wrote in his arrest report.
