SEQUIM — A second claim for damages against the city has been filed by a group unhappy with gun show rules imposed by Police Chief Byron Nelson during an event earlier this year at Guy Cole Convention Center.
Nelson is also named in the document filed last week in Clallam County Superior Court in Port Angeles.
Pacific Northwest Shooting Park Association, which supports construction of a shooting park in Clallam County, filed the legal claim.
In July the association filed a $135,000 claim for damages with the city, but the City Council took no action.
The claim filed in court last week doesn’t specify how much in damages the group is seeking.
