SEQUIM — An afternoon bunco game benefit with salads, sandwiches, desserts and prizes will be put on by the Sequim Guild today.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Food will be available and festivities will begin at noon at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
The guild requests donations of $12 per person and promises “a great buy for the money.”
Proceeds will benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Prizes will be given for the game. A silent auction also has been prepared by guild members.
The Sequim Guild raises funds for Children’s Hospital to provide uncompensated care for patients from families unable to pay.
The hospital had 2,174 visits from 794 Clallam County patients in 2012 and provided $809,548 in uncompensated care for 1,166 patients in need of financial assistance.
To help defray those costs, the guilds in Clallam County raised $103,935.
The public is invited to attend meetings, held on the second Wednesday of each month, at The Lodge at Sherwood Village, 660 Evergreen Way, or to join the guild.
