SEQUIM — Lovers of art are invited to the Blue Whole Gala, the open house to start off the Blue Whole Gallery’s holiday gift sale, this Tuesday evening.
Admission is free to the reception, which features festive food and drink from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Blue Whole, the nonprofit artists cooperative at 129 W. Washington St.
Visitors will have their first chance to see the range of art for sale: jewelry, fused glass, ceramics, ornaments, gourds, wood sculpture, paintings, photography, digital art, fiber art and holiday cards.
The party also will feature prize drawings for a variety of artwork including “Blue Mountain,” a painting by Blue Whole Gallery member Lynne Armstrong, and “May Dancer,” an image by Ryoko Toyama.
Tickets to these drawings will be sold for $5.
The Blue Whole’s holiday art sale will stay open through Dec. 28.
The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
The artists will close the venue for the holidays, though, for Thanksgiving on Nov. 26 and Christmas on Dec. 25.
