Sequim: Former teacher sentenced in teen exploitation case

SEQUIM — A former Sequim Community School teacher has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for taking pornographic photographs of teen-age girls.

U.S. District Judge Franklin D. Burgess on Friday sentenced Dennis Eugene Peterson to 188 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Peterson, 50, must also register as a sex offender in any state in which he lives, Burgess ordered.
