SEQUIM — Police are investigating today the cause of a two-vehicle crash Monday night on North Fifth Avenue that sent a pickup truck into the front porch of a mobile home, causing minor injuries to one of two drivers.
Residents in the mobile home at 201 N. 5th Ave, Space 33, were not injured in the 6:07 p.m. crash, and were able to remain in the home, police said.
The Clallam County Fire District No. 3 reported that the collision was between a Ford Expedition and a Ford F-150 at the intersection of North Fifth Avenue and Spruce Street.
Identifications of the drivers and the extent of injuries were not available this morning.
The force of the collision sent the truck across the intersection and into the front of the home, causing structural damage to the porch and front wall of the living room.
The home owners, one of whom was in the living room at the time of the collision, were not injured, said Patrick Young, fire district spokesman.
One of the two drivers was transported by Olympic Ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries; the other driver was evaluated but not treated or transported.
Fire District 3 responded with the two medic ambulances, a rescue unit and a fire engine assigned to this incident.
All fire units cleared the scene at 6:45 p.m. but the intersection remained closed while tow trucks removed the vehicles, Young said.
