SEQUIM — Five teen-agers were injured Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle allegedly traveling at an unsafe speed overturned on Priest Road.
Police described the victims as four females and one male, all between the ages of 16 and 18. One of the victims was airlifted in critical condition to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Two other victims remain hospitalized in Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles with fractures and internal injuries.
The remaining two victims were treated for minor injuries in the hospital emergency room and released.
The names of the victims were not released by Clallam County Sheriff’s Department investigators.
Authorities did not comment on whether the teen-agers were Sequim residents.
Sequim Police officers and Clallam County District No. 3 Fire personnel were first to arrive on the scene of the accident, which was reported at 2:47 p.m.
