SEQUIM — The city of Sequim is conducting a survey at several intersections in the downtown area through Sunday.
The survey, which began Thursday, uses low-resolution cameras to collect vehicle and pedestrian counts and turning movement volumes.
The imagery resolution is too low for facial recognition or reading license plates, a press release said.
Collected data will be used to plan future transportation projects, city officials said.
Cameras are on both Washington and Prairie streets at their intersections with Sequim, Third, Fifth and Seventh avenues as well as at the intersections of Washington Street and Ninth Avenue; Washington Street and Lee Chatfield; and Prairie Street and Sunnyside Avenue.
