Two meetings on driving the new Sequim traffic circle — or “roundabout”‘ — on Washington Street at River Road will be held Thursday.
The meetings will be held at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Guy Cole Convention Center at Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.
Public Works Director Jim Bay has said the 27½-foot-wide roundabout, which will also filter traffic to and from the entrance to the new Wal-Mart “superstore,” will keep traffic flowing “while preventing collisions that can be caused by driving too fast.”
Mayor Walt Schubert in July asked for the public information meetings so that citizens can ask questions of an independent traffic expert.
