SEQUIM — Developers of a proposed regional shopping center with a Home Depot on the city’s west side are waiting to see if a citizens group will appeal to the state Court of Appeals by a Monday deadline.
Andrew Shogren, vice president of the group Sequim First, said the organization’s board of directors has made a decision on whether to appeal a Clallam County Superior Court judge’s ruling, but will not make public its intent until Monday.
Representatives of Phoenix-based AVB Development Partners say they are ready to break ground on Sequim Village Marketplace, but will hold off if Sequim First takes that step.
The 395,000-square-foot center, set to be anchored by The Home Depot home improvement warehouse outlet, was the subject of an appeal filed under the state Land Use Petition Act last summer.
