SEQUIM — The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a family tax credit event from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The event will be at the chamber’s visitor information center, 1192 E. Washington St.
Representatives from the state Department of Revenue will provide assistance to families in individual appointments to help find credits under the Working Families Tax Credit program that they may have missed.

Eligible taxpayers must have lived in Washington for at least half of 2023, filed a federal tax return for 2023, be 25 to 65 years old or have qualifying children and have low to moderate income.
Tax credits may be as high as $1,255, depending upon income level and number of children.
Participants must bring a copy of their 2023 IRS form 1040 to their appointment.
