SEQUIM — Coastal Farm & Ranch was burglarized early Friday morning.
How many people were involved and what was stolen from the business at 990 E. Washington St., in Sequim, remained unclear as of Friday afternoon, said Detective Sgt. Darrell Nelson of the Sequim Police Department.
He said the business was burglarized at about 5:30 a.m. At least one person broke through the front door, smashing the bottom left sliding door window.
Police do not know what was used to smash open the door, Nelson said.
Officers were trying to obtain video surveillance of the incident on Friday as the investigation remains ongoing, he said.
Coastal’s management did not want to comment on the burglary as it’s being investigated.
The business was closed Friday morning with its entrance was wrapped with a string of yellow police tape. A timetable for reopening was not available.
Nelson said police do not believe the public to be in any danger because of the incident.
