SEQUIM — Sequim Public Works Department staff will begin work on pavement preservation and American with Disabilities Act compliance projects in town next week.
From next Monday through Friday, Oct. 14, crews with Northern Asphalt LLC will work on pedestrian ramps on West Fir Street between North Seventh and Ninth avenues into ADA compliance. Sidewalks will be closed around the ramps and pedestrians will be rerouted.
On Oct. 17-18, crews will close North Seventh Avenue between Spruce and Fir streets to vehicle traffic for subgrade and pavement repair work.
From Oct. 24-31, parking along West Fir Street between North Fifth and Ninth avenues and on Klahn Place will be closed for pavement overlay work. Drivers can expect traffic control and some delays, city staff said.
Northern Asphalt LLC will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays on projects, depending on weather.
