SEQUIM — The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center will cut two full-time positions in a move designed to help balance its 2003 budget.
A preliminary budget presented at Tuesday night’s aquatic center board meeting cuts $194,400 from the preliminary package. The cut was made necessary after the failure of two maintenance and operations levies this year.
Aquatic Center commissioners will take public comment on ways to increase the center’s revenue during a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Sequim Community Center, 190 W. Cedar St.
Commissioners will study suggestions from that meeting and tackle other budget matters during their regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Sequim Bible Church, 847 N. Sequim Ave.
