SEQUIM — A 35-year-old Sequim man is being held on $1.5 million bail on charges that he allegedly raped two teenage boys and attempted to rape another boy.
Prosecutors on Thursday filed charges against Robert Carl Patterson in Clallam County Superior Court, and more charges may be pending.
Patterson, listed in court documents as a resident on Elizabeth Lane, is charged with two counts of felony second-degree rape of a child, four counts of felony third-degree rape of a child and one count of third-degree attempted rape of a child, a gross misdemeanor, according to court documents.
He remained in custody at the Clallam County jail Thursday evening and was ordered by Superior Court Judge George Wood to maintain residence at a different location in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley if he posts bail.
He is prohibited from having contact with the three boys or with anyone younger than age 18.
