SEQUIM — More than 200 people gathered at Carrie Blake Park on Saturday evening, lighting white candles to remember three friends who lost their lives in a car crash New Year’s Eve.
In the crowd of mostly young people, some wiped their tears and others laughed as family and friends shared stories of Heather Holden, 19, Aaron Gambell, 19, and Paul Boynton, 22, who died Dec. 31 in an alcohol-related crash.
Still others pleaded with those gathered to consider the effects of alcohol on driving.
