BLYN — U.S. Highway 101 was blocked between Blyn and Gardiner for about 30 minutes when a semi truck rolled over.
The wreck at 4:33 a.m. Sunday closed the highway as Evergreen Towing recovered the truck with alternating one-way traffic until the roadway reopened at about 9:53 a.m., according to Trooper Katherine Weatherwax of the State Patrol.
A driver of an Allied moving truck contracted to deliver Amazon packages allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while traveling east near Pierce Road, she said.
The unnamed driver had minor injuries, cuts and bruises and was transported to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Weatherwax reported.
He was charged with second degree negligent driving.
No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
An estimate of damage was not available, but the vehicle was destroyed.
