PORT ANGELES — Kendell Huether’s trial in connection with the murder of Jennifer Pimentel was confirmed for Feb. 25 at a Clallam County Superior Court status hearing Thursday, one day after Huether’s boyfriend, Kevin Bradfield, pleaded guilty to killing Pimentel.
Huether, 26, of Port Angeles is charged with rendering criminal assistance to Bradfield, 23, of Port Angeles and two counts of witness tampering in connection with the disappearance of Pimentel, 27, of Port Angeles on Oct. 9, 2011.
Lawyers for Bradfield and the county Prosecuting Attorney’s Office recommended Wednesday at a Superior Court change-of-plea hearing that Bradfield serve 20 years for first-degree premeditated murder for strangling Pimentel at Huether’s apartment.
Huether allegedly did nothing to stop him.
Bradfield will be sentenced March 5.
Huether was charged with witness tampering after allegedly asking two acquaintances to lie about seeing Pimentel after her disappearance.
All three were friends, according to court documents.
