OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — The second year of the three-year Highway 101 Rehabilitation Project at Lake Crescent was completed last week, the Olympic National Park said.
Crews performed winter shutdown for the project on Friday, said Penny Wagner, Olympic National Park spokeswoman.
The final season for the project will begin in mid-March. Major work will include finishing the guardrail installation, paving the final 2½-inch driving surface and striping.
Strider Construction Inc. of Bellingham has now finished is the second of three seasons of work in a project to $27.5 million project to rehabilitate the 12 miles of highway.
