PORT ANGELES — A local family physician is Olympic Medical Center’s new chief medical officer.
Dr. Scott Kennedy, 47, was named to the position Wednesday night by hospital commissioners.
He succeeds Dr. William Collins, who retired a little more than a year ago.
Kennedy’s $132,500 annual salary makes him the highest paid health care district employee.
Administrator Mike Glenn’s annual salary is $124,166.
Hospital Chief Financial Officer Eric Lewis told commissioners the health care district would be able to recoup about 40 percent of Kennedy’s salary through billed services.
