An open house celebration will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Rothschild House at the corner of Taylor and Franklin streets, Port Townsend.
Family descendant Dorette Rothschild Lemon will be joined by tJefferson County Historical Society conservator Laura Reutter and Gerry Tays, acting historic preservation officer from Washington State Parks.
They will be available to answer questions about the family’s history and the restoration work done to the house, which was built in 1868 by Port Townsend merchant D.C.H. Rothschild.
Admission is $4 for adults and $1 for children, and there is a $5 passport to both the Rothschild House and Jefferson County Historical Society Museum.
