FORKS — A Beaver resident escaped serious injury early Tuesday morning when her truck rolled into a ditch on U.S. Highway 101 north of Forks, the State Patrol said.
Sheri Gagnon, 43, suffered minor injuries after her 1999 Dodge Durango left the roadway and overturned at least once, said Trooper Russ Winger, spokesman for the State Patrol.
Gagnon was trapped in the truck and had to be extricated, Winger said, adding that no State Patrol memo was generated from the wreck since only minor injuries were reported.
The State Patrol did not list a cause for the wreck that occurred just after 8 a.m. at Milepost 195, but Winger noted that road conditions at the time were dark and wet.
Trapped inside the truck
Two people called 9-1-1 emergency dispatch to report the wreck, Winger said.
One caller witnessed the rollover.
The other reported that Gagnon was trapped in the badly damaged truck, Winger said.
Clallam County sheriff’s deputies and Clallam County Fire District No. 1 also responded to the incident.
