The Rubicon, a suborbital tourism rocket that two Forks aerospace engineers hope to test launch off the West End next month, will be displayed Saturday in Port Angeles.
Phillip Storm, president, and Eric Meier, vice president of Space Transport Corp., based at Forks Industrial Park, will show the rocket from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rite Aid drugstore parking lot on South Lincoln Street near Seventh Street.
Storm and Meier are competing for the $10 million Ansari X Prize to become the first private company to make two successful manned spaceflights within two weeks. .
The Rubicon, designed to be launched vertically from the ground, will be displayed with its capsule, engine assembly and seven engines in place.
