FORKS — About 30 people expressed their grief through a roadside memorial Monday while the State Patrol investigated who was driving when a single-car crash killed two teenagers early Sunday morning.
“Everyone is going to miss them,” said Mike Dickinson, a Forks High School graduate who — along with another graduate, Tyler Geyer — built the two crosses that were placed at the U.S. Highway 101 site of the crash.
Kassandra Hansen, 17, and Naomi Price, 18, both of Forks, died after the car they were traveling in rolled three times, ejecting both of them.
Also in the car was Johnathan R. Fletcher, 18, a Forks High School senior who suffered a dislocated shoulder and internal injuries.
Fletcher was listed in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Monday.
Hansen, a senior at Forks High School, played fast pitch softball and was involved in 4-H.
“She was really involved in sports,” said Forks High School Principal Kevin Rupprecht.
Her parents are David and Kalyn Hansen of Forks.
Price was a 2007 graduate of Forks High School who was attending Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Ore., taking prerequisite courses for dental assistant school.
