LA PUSH — Construction crews from Geo Stabilization will begin riverbank stabilization on the north bank of the Quillayute River today.
The river has been eroding toward Mora Road, the primary access route to Rialto Beach, for several years, according to Olympic National Park.
Drivers can expect alternating, single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers at the quarter-mile work zone near milepost 1.75 with delays of up to 20 minutes, the park said.
During the construction, which is expected to be completed by Nov. 1, there will be reduced trailer parking at the Dickey River Boat Launch as the parking area will used to stage equipment for the project.
