PORT ANGELES — Registration is now open for Womanfest’s fall retreat set for Sept. 20-22.
The retreat — held annually for 36 years at Camp David Jr., the Clallam County park on the north shore of Lake Crescent — includes meals cooked in the lakeside lodge, crafts, walks on nearby trails, swimming, canoeing and other relaxing activities the women choose.
Registration deadline is Sept. 12.
The cost is $110, which covers all meals, snacks and two nights’ accommodations in rustic Camp David’s cabins.
“The retreat is always wonderful,” said Barbara Wise, a Womanfest board member who has been attending the retreat since 1987.
“Women value this opportunity to recharge, relax, create and play.”
Proceeds will benefit Womanfest, a nonprofit North Olympic Peninsula organization comprised of women from Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend that awards scholarships to local women to further their education and hosts International Women’s Day celebrations in Port Angeles every spring.
