Registration open for North Olympic Discovery Marathon; First Federal named title sponsor

PORT ANGELES — Registration is now open for the 16th annual North Olympic Discovery Marathon in Port Angeles.

First Federal has been named the title sponsor of the marathon scheduled June 2-3.

“The North Olympic Discovery Marathon is excited to announce that local leader, First Federal, is the title sponsor of the 16th annual event,” said Race Director Victoria Jones.

“First Federal has set new standards in community banking and we are proud to have such a key community player at the top of the list of our valued sponsors,” she added.

First Federal marketing manager Jen Swanson said the company “is committed to strengthening its communities, and promoting a healthy lifestyle is a big part of that effort,” and commended the event for its role in creating a more healthful community.

Registration is now open online at http://nodm.com/ for the marathon, $100; half marathon, $80; marathon relay, $325; business marathon relay, $500; marathon walk, $100; 10K, $40; 5K, $30; and kids marathon, $12.

Prices for all but the business marathon relay and the kids marathon will go up after Feb. 28; for the business relay and kids marathon, the price will increase at 8 p.m. June 1.

The North Olympic Discovery Marathon has been organized for the past 16 years by the not-for-profit Port Angeles Marathon Association (PAMA).

In 2017, PAMA gave over $20,000 back to more than 15 different groups in the community, according to Jones.
