FRIDAY HARBOR — A small earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 4.2 struck south of this San Juan Islands community Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
While there were no reports of injuries or damage, the quake was widely felt throughout the San Juans, the North Olympic Peninsula and in Victoria.
The quake struck at 5:55 p.m., and was centered about five miles southwest of Friday Harbor and about 10 miles northeast of Victoria.
