PORT HADLOCK — The Washington State University’s Jefferson County Extension will present a two-part workshop about rain gardens on the Zoom meeting platform.
Rain garden specialist Erica Guttman and water quality specialist Bob Simmons will discuss water pollution, rain garden science and installation basics during the first session from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The second session, presented from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, will cover plant design principles, maintenance and management.
The series is designed for professionals, garden-enthusiasts, and homeowners interested in learning how these gardens can be used to control run-off and to beautify their yards.
