PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles is seeking volunteers to serve on its 12-member Public Safety Advisory Board.

Members of the advisory board advise and make recommendations to the city manager, chief of police and fire chief concerning the provision of public safety services within the city, including enhancing Police and Fire Department community relations.
They also review and and make recommendations concerning Police and Fire Department policies, procedures, programs, accreditation standards and budgetary implications; review of qualifications and performance of licensees.
The advisory board meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Port Angeles Police Department.
