PORT ANGELES — A one-stop services fair for those who are very low-income, at risk of becoming homeless or who are homeless is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
Clallam County Project Homeless Connect will be in the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St.
About 50 agencies, service providers and free giveaways will be offered, according to Clallam County Homeless Outreach, which organizes the annual event.
Services will include free breakfast and lunch, clothing, haircuts, chiropractic care, dental care, medical care, assistance with driver’s license reinstatement, state identification cards, Veterans’ services, chemical dependency and mental health referrals, legal advice, employment connections, and assistance with housing and service needs as well connection with many social service agencies.
Clallam Transit will provide free bus rides from anywhere in Clallam County to those who say they want to go to the Vern Burton Center, organizers said.
Clallam County Homeless Outreach is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2012 to connect local people who are homeless or experiencing housing instability with resources and services that can meet their immediate needs.
