PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap Bank recently announced the donation of $15,000 to a variety of local nonprofits as part of the bank’s Making a Difference For Our Community Program.
The program encourages bank employees to volunteer with local organizations by pairing the employee’s time with monetary donations from the bank.
Bank employees volunteered 1,400 hours of their time to area charities during 2020, according to a press release.
North Olympic Peninsula nonprofits benefiting from the donations include Dove House Advocacy, Habitat of Clallam County, Jumping Mouse and Peninsula Behavioral Health.
Other regional beneficiaries include Bremerton Foodline, Central Kitsap Food Bank, Coffee Oasis, Harbor Wildwatch, Holly Ridge Center, Housing Resources Bainbridge, Kitsap Humane Society, Kitsap Mental Health, Martha and Mary, Meals on Wheels Kitsap, North Kitsap Fishline, Northwest Furniture Bank, Olympic College Foundation, Port Orchard Bay Street Association and Washington Women in Need.
