PORT ANGELES — Power has been restored to most customers after a tree fell into a Clallam Public Utility District line near Morse Creek, the agency reported.
Power was initially out for more than 11,000 customers between east Port Angeles and Carlsborg, the PUD said Monday morning.
Once crews switched power to isolate the outage, about 3,400 remained out of power in the Deer Park area, the PUD said.
An outage map on the PUD’s website updated Monday afternoon to say about 10 percent of its service territory was without power.
In an update about 1:24 p.m., the PUD said two feeders from the Deer Park substation remained without power, and those repairs will take longer.
It estimated a full restoration time of 8:30 p.m. Monday for about 1,000 remaining outages after it restored power to one of the two remaining sections.
