POULSBO — A Poulsbo man now in custody held his former girlfriend prisoner for several days, first in Olympic National Forest and then in a shed behind his parents’ house, according to charges filed in Kitsap Superior Court.
Jeffery Durham, 30, also is accused of raping his older sister in a separate incident, KOMO News reported.
Durham, who was arrested last week, has been charged with domestic-violence assault and unlawful imprisonment and is being held on $300,000 bail in the Kitsap County jail, KOMO reported.

Durham met the woman on Craigslist, and they dated for a while, but she ended the relationship when Durham became “obsessive and controlling,” KOMO reported from probable-cause statements.
KOMO reported that the court documents said:
Durham convinced the victim to take a drive with him earlier this month.
He kept her in an area of Olympic National Forest for several days, punching and tackling her when she tried to escape, having taken her clothes, cellphone, credit card and keys.
Durham moved her to a shed behind his parents’ home in Poulsbo, where he again held her against her will and assaulted her when she attempted to escape.
She managed to get her cellphone back Aug. 5 and called 9-1-1, leaving the line open and the phone in her pocket.
Durham found out about the call and choked her until she nearly passed out.
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office traced the call. When deputies arrived, she ran out of the shed, saying, “Thank God you found me.”
In addition, Durham was charged last month in a separate incident in which he reportedly raped his older sister after she drank too much and fell asleep at his house back in March.
