PORT TOWNSEND — A Port Townsend woman escaped with minor injuries after wedging her car between two cement traffic blocks at the end of a dead-end road, an East Jefferson Fire-Rescue spokesman said.
The 22-year-old woman, whose name was unavailable Saturday, severely damaged her Toyota Camry when it came to a stop at the end of 35th Street west of the end of Umatilla Avenue on Thursday evening, said the spokesman, Bill Beezley.
The woman was distraught, according to the radio dispatch concerning the incident, he said.
Both of her vehicle’s air bags deployed on impact.
She was helped from the vehicle by witnesses and taken to Jefferson Healthcare hospital by ambulance with minor injuries and for further evaluation, Beezley added.
