PORT TOWNSEND — This year’s Wooden Boat Festival was a record-setting event, project organizers say.
Wooden Boat Foundation Executive Director Christopher Kluck didn’t have specific attendance figures, but said the 27th annual event last weekend was “better than ever,” despite some rain.
To cope with a large crowd, Kluck said more volunteers donated their time than ever before –including some from the East Coast.
Jefferson Transit officials, too, reveled in the event’s success.
