Travel to the Port Townsend of yesteryear this weekend when the town celebrates the Port Townsend Victorian Festival Friday through Sunday.
The town will be decked out in its finest Victorian decor and visitors and residents alike can participate in workshops on restoring Victorian-era homes to solving a real-life Port Townsend mystery.
The schedule of events for the remainder of Victorian Days includes:
Today, March 22
* All day: History’s Mysteries town tour, various locations.
* 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Tours, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Jefferson and Tyler streets.
* 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Tours of the Rothschild House, Franklin and Taylor streets, $2.
* 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Exhibit, “Victorian Port Townsend,” Jefferson County Museum, $2.
* noon to 4 p.m.: Tour, commanding officers’ quarters, Fort Worden State Park, $1
* 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Victorian High Tea, Belmont Restaurant & Saloon, $13.95.

On March 23 and 24, workshops will be held at Peninsula College, 181 Quincy St., for those wishing to study such topics as preservation and restoration to Victorian crafts and designs. Workshops are $15 per class, $25 per day or $40 for both days. Some classes have additional material fees, please ask when making reservations.
