The Port Townsend City Council will consider authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement with Olympic Community Action Programs for a $40,000 grant for a summer shelter when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The council agreed last month to fund a portion of the Jefferson County Summer Emergency Shelter operated by OlyCAP at the American Legion Hall on the corner of Water and Monroe streets. The council also will consider approving recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee on Housing.
They will consider authorizing a collective bargaining agreement with Local Union No. 589 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for Police Department Employees effective in January and extending through December 31, 2020.
Other city committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., unless otherwise noted are:
• Historic Preservation Committee — 3 p.m. Tuesday, third-floor conference room.
• Arts Commission — 3 p.m. Wednesday, third-floor conference room.
• Port Townsend Main Street HUD Loan Committee — 4 p.m. Wednesday, Port Townsend Main Street Office at 211 Taylor St., suite 3.
• Non-Motorized Transportation Advisory Bard — 4:30 p.m. Thursday, first-floor conference room.
• Town Meeting on Fire District Annexation — 6:30 p.m., Fort Worden State Park Commons Building 210.
County Commissioners
The Jefferson County commissioners’ meeting on Monday was canceled because two county commissioners would be out of the office that day, making an insufficient number for a quorum.
Jefferson PUD
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss water rates when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will be at 63 Four Corners Road, Port Hadlock. They also will discuss attorney contract, Dan Roberts dedication, telecom residential responsibility and a resolution on Beckett Point. They are expected to take action on the 2018 contractor list.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider a joint resolution with the city of Sequim when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Commissioners will meet at 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
They also will consider an auditor’s report, mandated training requirements standard operating procedure, and the 2016 annual report.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
