PORT TOWNSEND — The stars came out for the fourth annual Port Townsend Film Festival.
People watching “The Gods Must Be Crazy” on an inflatable movie screen Friday night were treated to clear skies.
On the other hand, viewers of “The Hired Hand,” “Easy Rider” and “Dutchman” got a chance to talk with actors in the films.
Peter Fonda, star of “The Hired Hand” and “Easy Rider,” said he was enjoying his time in Port Townsend.
“This is a wonderful little place,” he said Saturday. “I want to come here more often.”
Shirley Knight, star of “Dutchman,” cut the ceremonial ribbon kicking off the festival. She made appearances throughout the weekend.
Attendance figures weren’t available Saturday, but at least a couple thousand people were partaking in all of the events, based on an unofficial head count.
Fonda made an appearance at a private reception Friday night and Knight did the same Saturday.
