Five Port Townsend residents helped open a $2.5 million rehabilitation center in a Vietnamese village on Friday.
David Goldsmith, John and Donna Doney, Sally Gooding and her daughter, Casey, traveled to the Quang Tri Rehabilitation and Education Center, where a nonprofit humanitarian agency called Kids First runs a vocational and training village.
When fully operational, the village will provide rehabilitation and prosthetic services and training for hunderds of handicapped children, John Doney said in an e-mail from Vietnam.
