PORT TOWNSEND — Mario Porter led Port Townsend High School with 15 points but the Redskins blew a two-point halftime lead in the third quarter and never recovered, falling 53-46 to Orting in Nisqually League action Friday night.
Orting held Port Townsend post Leif Whittaker to four points.
Marcus Logue and Clay Nowak each added six points for the Redskins (5-5 overall, 1-2 in league).
Port Townsend led 23-21 at halftime but was outscored by five in the third quarter. Orting held on with a 17-13 run in the fourth.
Sequim 63, Foster 49
TUKWILA — The Wolves stayed unbeaten in Nisqually League play as Evan Still and Brady Marunde each scored 14 points.
Chris Mobley added 10 points for Sequim (6-4 overall, 3-0 in league). Pete McCallum had nine points and Matt Finitzer chipped in eight.
Delorean Hughley led Foster with 20 points.
North Mason is tied with Sequim for first place in league.
Vashon Island 54, Chimacum 50
VASHON ISLAND — The Cowboys incurred their first Nisqually League loss of the year despite the 26 points of Robbie Andrus.
Sam Evasick added 10 points for Chimacum (6-4 overall, 2-1 in league) and Tanner Colton had nine.
The Cowboys made it close after trailing 44-32 entering the fourth quarter.
Clallam Bay 71, Quilcene 41
QUILCENE — The Bruins stayed unbeaten behind 18 points and nine steals from Annan Bowlby in the North Olympic League game.
Danny Angulo added 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Clallam Bay (9-0 overall, 2-0 NOL). Brandon Rodriguez chipped in 10 points and Dylan Simmons had eight.
Jake Wilson led Quilcene with 18 points. The Rangers took only 11 shots in the first half in an attempt to slow Clallam Bay’s fast-paced style.
Four technical fouls were called in the game, two against a Quilcene assistant coach who was ejected. The other two technicals were against Clallam Bay players.
Neah Bay 88, Crescent 48
NEAH BAY — Andy Perry led the Red Devils with 22 points, including two 3-pointers, and LeRoy Dalos added 18 points in the North Olympic League victory.
Dustin Brunk chipped in 17 points for Neah Bay (4-3 overall, 2-1 in league) and Robbie Arnold had 14.
Crescent’s Phillip Mair scored 24 points, and Seth Williams had 13. The Loggers fell to 1-9 overall and 0-1 in league.
